Passport Information

 

1.) With effect from June 15th 2015, Consulate General of India, Hong Kong has outsourced the following passport services to M/s BLS International Services Limited :-

 

a). Renewal/re-issue of Passport. (Application to be filled on line)
b). Passport for new born babies. (Application to be filled on line)
c). Renewal/re-issue of passports of children. (Application to be filled on line)
d). Duplicate passport in lieu of Lost/Damaged passport. (Application to be filled on line)
e). Change of address/Change of name/change of females after marriage/divorce / death of husband. Application to be filled off line)
f). Emigration check not required endorsement. (Application to be filled off line)
g). Police Clearance Certificate. (Application to be filled off line)

 

2.) However, for following services applicants may approach the Consulate General of India, Hong Kong located at Unit D, 16th Floor, United Centre, 95, Queensway, Admiralty, Hong Kong (submission of application from 9-30AM to 12-30PM and delivery of documents from 4-30PM to 5-30PM):-

 

a). Emergency Certificates to stranded Indians. (Application to be filled off line)
b). Tatkal Passport - short validity hand written. (Application to be filled off line)

 

3.) Till 14th June 2015, all applications are being accepted at the Consulate.

 

4.) All applicants for service of Indian passport at (1) above are advised to approach BLS International Services Ltd as per contact details below and refer to their website below for detailed information:-

5.) Please note that in addition to the passport fee, a service fee of HK$ 47 will be charged by BLS international for each application. Value added services (VAS) are optional services and will be charged separately, if the applicant chooses to avail those services. Applicants are free to avail these services from other places of their choice also. ALL APPLICANTS APPLYING FOR PASSPORT SERVICES AT M/S BLS ARE ADVISED TO FILL THE FORM ONLINE BEFOREHAND AND BRING PRINTOUT WHILE APPLYING TO SAVE TIME, EFFORTS AND ANY ADITIONAL COST

 

IMPORTANT NOTE:

 

1. AS PER INTERNATIONAL CIVIL AVIATION ORGANIZATION'S REGULATIONS HAND WRITTEN PASSPORTS OR ANY OTHER TRAVEL DOCUMENT (EXCEPT EMERGENCY CERTIFICATE) WILL NOT BE VALID FOR INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL FROM 25TH NOVEMBER, 2015. ALL CONCERNED ARE REQUESTED TO APPLY FOR MACHINE READABLE PASSPORTS (MRP) WELL IN TIME.

1. SERVICE - EMERGENCY CERTIFICATE TO STRANDED INDIANS (please approach Consulate General of India's office directly)

If the lost passport has been issued from
Passport issuing authority other than Consulate
General of India, Hong Kong then the service will be rendered on receipt of confirmation /clearance from that passport issuing authority
 


Documents required :
 


(i) Police report regarding the loss of Passport

(ii) Photocopy of the lost passport, if available. If Photocopy is not available, then number, date of issue, Place of issue of lost passport should be furnished

(iii)Four photographs

2. SERVICE - HANDWRITTEN TATKAL (URGENT) PASSPORT WITH 1 YR VALIDITY (please approach Consulate General of India's office directly)

Duration for grant of service:
 


1-3 days for passports issued from Hong Kong.
If the passport has been issued from other
Passport issuing authority and its data cannot be verified from our system, then the service will be rendered on receipt of confirmation/clearance from that passport issuing authority.
 


Documents required :
 

i. Original along with copies of HK/Macao identity card
ii. Original along with copies of current booklet and original Passport
iii. Original current Passport and all the additional Booklets need to be shown (would be returned after submission)
iv. Handwritten/typed letter stating the need for Tatkal passport
iv. Four latest photographs, which should be of square size not less than 2 x 2 inch (51 mm x 51 mm, with 80% coverage of face with white/light background).
