Pre-Arrival Registration (PAR)/ Visa Advisory for Indian travelers to Hong Kong SAR

Indian passport holders planning to visit Hong Kong are required to apply for online Pre-Arrival Registration (PAR) at https://www.immd.gov.hk/eng/services/visas/pre-arrival_registration_for_indian_nationals.html.  PAR is valid for a period of six months and multiple visits. On each visit, a PAR holder can stay in Hong Kong for up to a maximum of 14 days only. 

PAR system is an automated system operated by the Hong Kong Immigration Department.  In case PAR is unsuccessful, Indian passport holders have the option to apply for a Hong Kong entry visa at  https://www.immd.gov.hk/eng/services/visas/visit_transit.html#firstTab) to the Hong Kong Immigration Department. These applications must be submitted directly to the Hong Kong Immigration Department. Please note that Chinese diplomatic and consular missions in India do not accept Hong Kong visit visa applications from Indian nationals. 

It is advisable that Indian passport holders complete their online PAR well in advance of the scheduled travel date so that  in the eventuality of an unsuccessful PAR, they still have adequate time left to apply for an entry visa.

It may be noted that PAR is NOT required for direct transit by air where the traveler does not exit the airport transit area.
