2.         Advisory for Indian Students seeking admission in Universities in Hong Kong

Hong Kong’s Universities offer a variety of programmes ranging from degree to doctoral levels. The Universities adopt international standards in curriculum design and quality assurance. Qualifications granted by the universities in Hong Kong are internationally recognized.The academic session in Universities of Hong Kongstarts in September and finish in June.

Following seven are the most prominent universities funded by the University Grants Committee(UGC), which provide curriculum and course design of international standards.

As these universities admit students at their own discretion, prospective students may refer to the institution websites for admission criteria. The universities also offer liberal scholarships to meritorious students.
Ranking
According to the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings 2018, among the eight universities funded by UGC, five universities, namely The University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, The Chinese University of Hong Kong , City University of Hong Kong and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University are ranked top 100 in the world.
Two of the universities are ranked in the world’s top 50 and four are ranked in Asia’s top 10 by the Quacquarelli Symonds University Rankings 2015-16. In academic year 2015-16, the Times Higher Education survey ranked two of the universities within the top 100 in the world, and three in the “100 under 50” rankings (top 100 universities less than 50 years of history).
According to Financial Times surveys in 2015, Hong Kong universities also host some of the world’s best business administration and executive business management programmes.
Some institutions also join hands with other prestigious universities worldwide to offer joint academic programmes. The EMBA programme offered by The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, in collaboration with Kellogg School of Management of the Northwestern University, was ranked 1st from 2009 to 2013 and 2nd in 2014 and 2015 by the Financial Times.
