Gujarat is the 7th largest province of India located in the western part of the country, and is widely seen as one of the most industrialized States in India with a GDP growth rate of around 10% over last few years. Gujarat's key strengths include its strategic location, excellent infrastructure, proactive & stable governance and entrepreneurial spirit of its people, thus making it a perfect ground for doing business in India.The state has already attracted a number of foreign investments, including some of the major Chinese companies like TBEA Transformers, and several other companies involved in construction industry.
Vibrant Gujarat,a highly successful biennial global investor summit organized by the Government of Gujarat, is an event that brings together global thought leaders, policy makers, academia and industrialists on a common platform to brain storm on issues of prominence, define growth agenda, and promote balanced & sustainable growth.The last edition of the summit saw participation from more than 100 countries and signing of MoUs worth Billions.
In the run-up to the 7th Vibrant Gujarat Summit, to be held on January 11-13, 2015, a delegation of senior government and industry leaders from the State of Gujarat will be visiting Hong Kong on September 7-8, 2014.During their visit,Government of Gujarat, Consulate General of India, Hong Kong and Confederation of Indian Industry are co-organizing a Seminar "Destination Gujarat - A land of opportunities" on Monday, 8th September 2014 at Renaissance Harbour View Hotel, Hong Kong (1 Harbour Road, Wan Chai) from 1030-1230 Hrs, followed by lunch.The business delegation from Gujarat represents key infrastructure and industry areas such as oil and gas, mining, manufacturing, energy, ports, education, urban planning, food processing, financial services, pharmaceuticals etc.
The seminar would be a useful occasion for companies in Hong Kong to know more about exciting opportunities that the State of Gujarat offers for business and investments.It will also provide a good opportunity to interact with the relevant government authorities of Gujarat to understand specific incentives being offered to potential investors.
